Below are the definitions used in the Terms of Use:

User: the natural or legal person who uses the products and/or Greenmeister services;
Privacy Policy: this privacy policy;
AVG: General Data Protection Regulation;
Parties: Greenmeister and User;
Website: The domain: www.greenmeister.nl and its portals, webshops, applications (including mobile applications), channels, software and widgets affiliated with Greenmeister.

  1. Introduction
    This Greenmeister Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and share information about you when you access or use Greenmeister:

    From time to time we may make changes to this privacy policy. When we make such changes, we will do our best to notify you via email, push or in-app notification, or a prominent notice on our website.
  2. Your privacy rights
    You have various rights based on the GDPR. For example, you have the right to request Greenmeister to inspect (article 15 GDPR) and rectify (article 16 GDPR) or erase your personal data (article 17 GDPR). You also have the right to request Greenmeister to restrict the processing of personal data (Article 18 GDPR). Under certain circumstances, you have the right to data portability (article 20 GDPR) and the right to object (article 21 GDPR).

  3. Information We Collect
    We may collect certain types of information to better provide our websites and services:
    • We collect information you provide to us, such as:
      • Account Information: If you create an account on one of our websites or services (a "User Account"), you may provide personal information such as your full name, email address and date of birth.
      • Public Content: The information you contribute or post to our websites or services ("Public Content") is intended for public consumption, including your reviews, photos, comments, up and down votes, friends, user account name, and profile picture.
    • Information created when you use our websites and services:
      • Transaction data: When you initiate a transaction through one of our websites or services, in addition to the information you provide directly to us, we also automatically collect certain information, such as the date and time the transaction was initiated or the transaction status changes.
      • Location information: We collect information about your precise or approximate geographic location with your consent, for example when you click on a "Search nearby" button. We may collect this information from your mobile device if you have enabled such functionality. Some of our services will not work without permission to track the user's location. We may also collect your approximate location or IP address from your browser and infer your location from other information we have collected.
      • Other browser and device information: We automatically collect information about you when you use the website and services. In addition to transaction and location data described above, the information we collect automatically includes browser type, domain name, the website that directed you to our websites, the dates and number of times you visit our websites, device ID and browser activities within our websites or services (e.g., pages you click, searches you perform and the date and time of your visit, the amount of time you spend on specific pages).       • Communication: From time to time you may contact Greenmeister Customer Service. If you send messages through our website, we may not only store the messages, but also record telephone numbers and the date and time the messages were processed.

      • Third-party login services: If you create a user account using a third-party login service (such as Facebook, Google, Discord Apple), the provider of the third-party login service will share personal information about you, such as your name and email address to us to create a user account for you.
  4. How we use your information
    We may use your information to:
    • Satisfy your searches;
    • Provide you with customer support;
    • Promote the websites and services;
    • Improve, upgrade and improve our websites and services;
    • Analyze our system administration, debug and identify bugs, and back up our system;
    • Detect security incidents and investigate and prevent possible deceptive, fraudulent, unauthorized, malicious or illegal activity.

    We may use cookies, tags, scripts, local shared objects such as HTML5, and similar technology in connection with your use of our Websites or Services. In addition, we may allow third parties to incorporate their cookies or other third-party technologies into our websites and services to provide services on our behalf, such as analytics services.

  7. Manage and delete your data
    Your right to access and control your data
    You have the right to access, review, correct or update the information you provide to us as part of your registration for a user account with our websites or services. You can exercise this right and manage your own information by directly updating your user account. You are responsible for the information you provide to us and you must maintain the accuracy of the personal information in your user account so that we can provide you with the best products and services. You may be able to refuse our use of certain location data through your device or browser settings, for example by disabling "Location Services" for the Greenmeister application in the Android or iOS privacy settings. Please note, however, that disabling location services may negatively impact your experience of the functionality of our websites or services.
  8. Your right to delete your data
    You have the right to delete certain personal information that you provide to us as part of registering for a user account with our websites or services, or that you submit through our websites or services. Please note that we require this information to provide account management and access, and if you choose to delete information, you may not be able to take advantage of certain features of our websites and services.

    In some circumstances, we may retain information about you for legitimate business or legal purposes, or for purposes permitted under this Privacy Policy, unless prohibited by law. For example, we may retain information to prevent, investigate, or identify possible wrongdoing in connection with our websites or services, or to comply with legal obligations. Some information may persist in limited internal capacity for internal management, such as backup files maintained for data integrity and disaster recovery. We aim to store your data no longer than necessary and will take steps to delete your data where reasonably possible.

    The privacy statement indicates as much as possible what the retention period of personal data is. If no explicit retention period is included, Greenmeister will not store the personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which the personal data was collected and processed.
  10. Minors using the website or services
    Our websites and services are intended for adults only and require users not to be under the age of eighteen. Persons under the age of eighteen are not allowed to create a user account and profile, access our websites or services. If you become aware that an underage user has created a user account using false, stolen or otherwise misleading information, please contact us immediately.
  11. Security
    We have taken a number of measures to protect your personal information. These measures include, but are not limited to, minimizing access to personal information by employees who have access to it, and encrypting personal information submitted through our website using SSL. Please note that while we strive to keep our security measures up to date, no data security measure can guarantee complete security.

    In addition, there are steps you can take to help protect your information, including choosing a robust password for your user account that no one else knows or can easily guess, and keeping your login and password private.

    Greenmeister is not responsible for the actions or activities of unauthorized third parties that compromise our security measures, and therefore we cannot be responsible for the access, acquisition or dissemination of your personal information by such unauthorized party. If you believe your personal information has been compromised, we encourage you to notify us immediately in accordance with our Contact Information section below.

    Please note that we retain certain personal information about you in accordance with our data retention policy, as required by law, or as required to achieve the purposes of the processing as stated above.

    It is important that you protect against unauthorized access to your user account, password and computer. Be sure to log out of your user account when you are done, especially if you are using a shared computer.
